The Prison Ombudsman Francisco Mugnolo, recommended the development of a protocol for the prevention of Coronavirus (COVID-19) in order to assess the health and protection of detainees. He requested the prison authorities to take the corresponding hygiene and sanitation measures in the different detention facilities. The proposal joins the recently agreement upon by the Federal Criminal Cassation Chamber.

The Delegate of Non-Penitentiary Centers on the Northern Border, Oscar Zacoutegui, presented a collective habeas corpus in favor of twenty-six people detained in a cell with capacity for eight. The Federal Court of Paso de los Libres partially granted this action.
