May 17, 2021.
Since 2004, the International Day Against Discrimination due to Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Gender Expression has been celebrated with the aim of making visible and raising awareness about the situations of violence suffered by the LGBT + community. The choice of the date is due to the fact that on May 17, 1990, the WHO General Assembly recognized that no sexual orientation should be considered a disorder, and eliminated homosexuality from its list of mental illnesses.
