Training workshop to promote compliance with the Istanbul Protocol ”, at the National Academy of Medicine, from 2 pm to 6 pm. The conference will be broadcast live on the social networks of the Prison Ombudsman’s National Office.

After visiting the southern province, the Prison Ombudsman Francisco Mugnolo celebrated the decision of the Neuquen Legislature, which, through the Human Rights Commission, presented the proposal to create the Committee. It will be the eighth committee in the country.

The fifth stage of the project “Strengthening of Human Rights Protection Mechanisms for Persons Deprived of Liberty” was carried out between the Prison Ombudsman’s National Office and the National Institute of Human Rights (INDH for its acronym in Spanish) of Chile. The objective was to strengthen technical capacities in the promotion and protection of human rights at the regional level.

The Prison Ombudsman's National Office will provide a new training day in order to promote compliance with the Istanbul Protocol. The workshop, declared of Provincial Interest by the House of Representatives, will be held in the province of Misiones where meetings will be held with members of the Provincial Committee for the Prevention of Torture.

On September 25, the PPN participated in the First Discussion on the criminal type of torture in the Annex of the Honorable Chamber of Deputies of the Nation. The meeting was convened by the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture.
